On June 6, 1944, American troops and their Allies stormed the beaches of France to begin a campaign to keep our country safe and free.

Tens of thousands of brave troops lost their lives in the greatest invasion the world had ever seen. Thanks to their bravery, we enjoy today the freedom made possible by their sacrifices.
